Any opinions on this changer? I currently have the Garrard type A 2 hooked to the 500B but Fisher had an elac 10F they used in consoles and there's one available. Looks far simpler than the Garrard but not sure it's worth the effort for little to no benefit.

Well, it's not a changer, so the mechanism will be easier to service. I've never used changers as such (usually play both sides of a disc) so this would appeal to me. Looks like a typical German solid unit. Also interesting where the speed selector is--looks like they added a larger turntable to an older design and had o design a lower selector lever to fit everything together.

It is a changer. It uses an umbrella style spindle and can play up to 10 33s. Can't mix sizes.

Up and running. Quite silent. Came with a Pickering 380 and the only stylus available is conical. I prefer elliptical.

Unlike the garrard, it's also an automatic turntable. Moving the tonearm turns it on.

The stacking spindle is the umbrella type and very tall. The 45 changer is way rare and $$$... I may put the shure m3d in this later.

That metal box on the back of the cabinet is the Fisher Spacexpander reverb spring unit.

I have been listening to the little Columbia stereo today as the RCA stereo theater has lost one channel. :x :( I have one of those space expander/reverb units that has Fisher stamped on it. I have not idea where it came from or how I got it.
