"Broadcasting from the Riddick Building on North Meridian Street" was the moniker of Channel 8 back in the day. I remember it as the local CBS station. Still very much in business, still on Channel 8 and its digital sub-channels, now affiliated with the CW.

I remember the evening news with Mike Ahern as the anchor, with Stan Wood doing the weather, and it was often sponsored bt Flannery And Buchanan Funeral directors and morticians.

Here is a obituary of Ahern, written by Howard Caldwell, who did sports for WFBM.

I had forgotten both of those men. Thanks, Rex. Now if we could find something on Harry Martin and Bill Crawford. They were both with Channel 6.
