That is cool, and very MCM but the price....

I cabinet looks walnut to me, and the amp looks very impressive as well with an early VM changer. Westinghouse sure used some big transformers.

This dates from 1954, and the V-M 935/950 changer is
evidence of the time frame, also.

The radio/record changer were incorporated into this
TV console apparently, looking at the Sams from 03/1955.

It came with a 6V6 PP mono amp with either a single 12" or
2-way speaker system.
Big iron I bet would sound very warm.

The item is in California, where MCM prices are quite elevated
in general.

1954 had some really nice MCM design in all aspects of
U.S. consumer culture. Cars, furniture, hi-fi's, et cetera.

Maybe my eyes are failing; it looks like a price in the 4 figures.... Surely it's a typo.

My first reaction was that it must be European; it has a bit of the compact and modern style that characterized devices from across the way. But then I say the V-M changer. That amp is serious. It would be interesting to see the tuner's schematic.

As I look at Walters link of the Westinghouse again, it's actually a modular system. The TV is totally separate from the record player/radio. I did not notice that the first time I looked at it. The TV has its own speaker. It kind of reminds me of the RCA Modular system we had when I was a kid. Thanks for sharing the Sam's, Mr. Mogul.
