Ever ask on a forum for a particular part even if you give the model of the item... , and you get replies of send a picture ?.... do these people realize they can look it up faster than anyone sending a picture ?... I had one guy offer me a completely different part , because he did not know what mine looked like??? no wonder the US is 43rd in education....rant over...

I think people sometimes try to help when they don't really have all the information or understanding they need to do so successfully. If someone sends me information or an offer to help that is less than what I need, I thank them kindly for their trouble and consideration, then move on. I'm not a huge "Googler" so I tend to ask a human rather than look something up. I've done that on this forum frequently. It gets people to communicating. I have a moderator on this forum who is THE best at finding information that I think doesn't exist. It's a gift.....
