Add palm tree skinning to the list.....

.....of dumb things I have to do. Movie projectors, broken chicken, who knows what else. Our landscaper is either too dumb or too lazy to notice the palm tree needs skinning. Scorpions and spiders like to live in a palm tree that needs to be skinned. When you cut the fronds off, it leaves a stub. Those stubs add up over time, and the critters like to live in them. You take a sharp utility knife and cut around the tree in a circle, then peel off the debris. This makes a big mess. I have to do about a foot at a time because it fills up the trash receptacle really fast. We put in artificial grass, but the landscaper didn't cut down the bill because he doesn't have to mow. I have to protect the bouganvillas because he cuts off the blooms. All I need is a blower and he'll be out of business.
