Somebody mentioned this car in an earlier topic. I had never seen it. The craftsmanship on this car is amazing.

Re: 1960 Crown Imperial limosine "Nelson Rockefeller"
As I recall, the car at Kykuit, Nelson's estate, is blue and does not have the formal roof. That car is unrestored and not well maintained... I believe it may be a '59 if I remember the toothy grille.
The Ghia during the Kennedy years was used by Joe and Rose, I believe. If you look at the cortege, it was the second car in procession. I believe the car was trucked or trained from Boston to DC for Rose's use. I thought it was a Kennedy family car, not a part of the national fleet.
Another car worth mentioning is Alfred Vanderbilt's 1933 Cadillac V16 town sedan at Hyde Park. This car was donated to the US Park Service after the mansion was signed over around 1941. The car was gently used by the surviving niece until she decided it, too, belonged to the estate. It's totally original. Unfortunately, they tried to start it several years ago and rumor has it the car has a bent rod... obviously the US Park Service is not in the position to restore cars so....
