When you upload a file you get a message of no more traffic allowed for the month? I guess I don't understand what it is telling me...only 1 file per month? also no section for sales brochures of various models?

"Literature" is in production. Not here yet, but it's coming. You can post literature that is not service documents there. As to the traffic part, that is a setting I need to check. I may need to ask Mark where I should set it. I am grateful to you for this information. I don't always see what you guys see, so I appreciate the information. There will be "growing pains" going forward, so I ask you all to be patient and we'll work together to set this all up like we want it.
Elton, I just checked your permissions. You have 10 GB of "traffic" per month. That is a LOT of uploads. Every user group on the forum, "Registered Users", "Moderators", "Administrators" all have 10 GB of traffic per month. Newly Registered Users don't currently have any permissions before their "three post rule" permissions. Go ahead and try to post some more service documents. Let me know if you have any trouble posting.

I have a setting wrong. It will only allow one download, period. Bear with me.

I read some more and found the "traffic management" feature to be more trouble that it's worth. I don't want to restrict you guys posting in the slightest way. I disabled it. I want you to be able to upload to Downloads until your heart's content, with little restriction whatsoever. I believe I have the permissions set right. Now I get a green downloads symbol by the entries in the categories. For some reason, the "download total" in the ACP says there are no downloads. Probably another silly "safety" feature. Boy, I need to get on my knees and thank my lucky stars I have the membership I have. You guys don't need all the "safety" features this extension has. I can put you "on your honor" and can rest assured you won't disappoint me.....
Try uploading now and see what happens. Let me know if you have any issues. Thanks for your patience and for learning right along with me.....
Just for sake of this discussion, not that any of this means a hill of beans to you guys. The "traffic management" was so designed that I could permit a single member to upload to a single category, one time per day. Various adjustments were possible, but this system managed each member individually. Disabling it, (I hope) will allow everybody to do everything, anytime, as many times as they choose. Even new members. Like Henry Kaiser said when his auto empire was crumbling, "I should have brought them out dressed up, then undressed them later". So we will introduce Downloads "dressed up" then, if necessary, we can "un-dress" it later.......

We will start out by uploading the Archives (literature) in Downloads. The forum software update negates our use of the Archive extension until it's updated. We can move Archives to other other extension when it becomes available. I haven't decided on just how I want to accomplish this yet, but I'm working on it.
