A REAL barn find... it even still has the straw!
They're open to offers, and probably cheap, but about a 2 ride each way. Tempting, but where would I put it?
SS amp I'm thinking? I believe this is the slightly "lower" model to the one that used to sit on my uncle's work
bench that I now have... I could use the knobs at least, and swap my incorrect ones to this. Hmmmm....

That's sad, but at least it looks like it has been kept dry.

If mice have not been in it, it should clean up and work just fine.

The Fisher ambassador components I picked up looked just like that....straw, mouse urine , the whole shebang ... took a lot of cleaning but it turned out OK... at least this one appears to be complete ...5 knobber probably a 15 or 20 watt set...

Yes it does! A 2+ hr ride both ways, but considering it...says it was kept dry at least.

Go for it, Roger! I hope you get it and save it. I believe the five-knobber Astro-Sonics went up to maybe 50 watts, but I'd say by cabinet size that one isn't that big. I like the grill cloth on that cabinet. Good luck.

I'd like to... space is always the problem but I may be able to squeeze it in if a 1963 GE d/w and a vintage 1961 RCA color TV eventually headed for Canada that are being stored in my (good dry) shed due to Covid are finally able to go N if the border opens next month. Not enough good SS consoles are being saved imo.
I have it's big brother already (pic):
That one needs knobs, a bezel, and the rest of the cabinet including speakers and record player to be complete.
Preferably in Early American (I'm a contrarian LOL).

I have a set of six Astro-Sonic knobs, somewhere in storage. If you are not in a big hurry, and if you can use them, they are yours. Refreshing my memory will be a part of the deal.....

Can't do it, I already don't have room in my garage/shed/basement to work on projects I really need to finish... the 2 big units destined to go to Quebec won't be leaving until the border opens and the owners can get them. I'm also into vintage appliances and early color TVs (besides those 2 items in the shed I also have a vintage KA d/w, a vintage FD 1-18 washer, a vintage '65 Zenith roundie color (and a '61 RCA color coming), 2 early '70s cycles , 2 vintage ranges: a 30" and a 40"... in the shed, garage and bsmt, 2 vintage pedal bikes, not to mention 4 collector cars (Olds, 'stang, and 2 '80s SAABS in VT coming here this fall, 2 xTerra daily drivers, plus all the usual daily driver appliances. This in a 900 sq ft house 1/4 ac lot bursting at the seams, also with consoles and a good bit of other vintage mono and stereo stuff inside. I really need to purge but don't want to part with any of it now, so that poor bereft Maggie will have to go it alone... wish that wasn't the case!
Thus I can surely use the Astro knobs to make the recv'r more original, I thank you very kindly for the offer.

You will surely be welcome to them. Just refresh my memory after I get the shop built and everything moved here. You'll know when that is. I'll be shouting it to high heaven! I have been waiting six months for them to start on the shop. It's been almost a year and a half since I saw my stuff, the stuff I have left. Room is always a consideration. Sorry you can't do the deal.

Roger, I think old appliance are so cool. And, you can usually make them work because there are NO electronics in them. What colors are some of your appliances?
