As promised. Here's all I got from the seller... no money shot, but a very nice cabinet and sexy blonde stylin". Blondes really do have more fun!! lol.

So nice and pristine, and tempting as it's BO, and usually few takers for these, but I absolutely have no room, the blonde '57 Zenith Rhapsody is here in my garage now, and with PP 6V6GT amp,tuner, Cobramatic, and 2 12" woofers with 2 electrostatic tweeters the big "Z" will more than give the VOM a run for the money. Both are great examples of audio for 1957!

I have always wanted a blonde V-M Fidelis console.
I wish I wasn't 1500 miles away from it.

I have restored several of the Fidelis consolettes.
They came with very thin metal tube legs for that
1950's Frank Lloyd Wright cantilever look.

That 6V6 PP amp is one of the nicest I have ever heard.
Each one I serviced, sounded so good.
It's a simple design, that I wish more hi-fi's had used.

There were 2 versions of the Fidelis, with similar amps.

Here's a consolette that was in very rough condition.
It still had some blems after working on the finish,
but the new owner loved it as an original part
of the hi-fi.

Since I didn't have the legs for it, I gave the new owner a
1950's TV roll-around stand, and the Fidelis fit perfectly !

When I was a kid, my aunt and uncle gave me their old record player. It was a VM model 560, like the one you have pictured Mogul. When I say old, it was not really all that old. The 560 came out in 1954, I was three, and I think they gave it to me when I was 12ish. It sounded awesome and I wish I still had it, and I have no memory of what happened to it. A few years ago, I ran across a VM model 562. It's blonde with the back base and a redesigned amp. It uses PP 6BQ5's instead of PP 6V6's. It too sounds awesome, I actually think it has a better sound than the 560. It's kind of like a table top VM 1000. I did not get the legs, but I have it setting on a table along with my VM 556 and a Vornado fan. Here's two links from Gary's site.

Having said all of that, the console that Roger has pictured should sound awesome as well. It's a VM model 560, in a bigger cabinet which allows for bigger speakers. What's not to love! I wish I lived closer to Mogul, It would make a nice addition to my VM collection.
