Here's an interesting find, ridicules price, but it looks quality built, but one would expect that from Dumont.

Any chance the electronics are Magnavox-sourced? My '56 Magnasonic has the P-P parallel amp, a one-tube preamp in a seperate skinny chassis, and 4 speakers like that (except Magnavox mounted the tweeters in the middle of the 12" big ones).

I'm not sure, Chris, but it really does not look like a Maggie chassis. I thought it looked more like Heath-kit.

Emerson owned Dumont by the time this was built. Really high quality for an Emerson product. It has a VM 1200 series changer like lots of record players had. I'll bet it sounds pretty good. :D :D Thanks for sharing, Bill.... :D :D

If Wikipedia is correct, Emerson bought Dumont in 1958.
