Spambots....'tis the season....

At 12:41 pm MST, today, there were 114 "guests" on the forum, along with yours truly. You may remember we got slammed by spambots about this time last year, December 23 to be exact. Then, we had 1250 spambots trying to register on the forum in one day. This morning, we had 114. We now have enhanced security measures in effect, including, but not limited to 3-D Captcha, a security question and the first three posts of new members must be approved by moderators before they are posted on the forum. So far, these methods have proven successful. Our sharp-eyed moderators and I have our eyeballs peeled for the sneaky little bastards that take their time trying to mess up something someone else has worked hard to establish. I apologize for strong language, but my contempt for spambots is beyond measure. Thank you all for your understanding, to new members for their patience, and to you all for your participation and support of the forum.
