Gorgeous Philco Small Console

Post: # 10472Post Hi-Fi-Mogul »

Was just wandering around FB market, which I don't use, but
came across this gem of a Philco.
I wish they had posted the model #.

The changer looks to be a custom V-M 1297 type
with the short spindle.
I wonder if it has a magnetic cart in it.

So, I'd bet this is circa early 1960's.

I hope they've had the electronics serviced, so
there's no risk of filter caps shorting.

Price is way above my bargain hunter brain, but
if someone only wanted one nice hi-fi....

Can you identify the cartridge, Mr. Mogul? It's nice, but not $500 worth of nice.

That is a nice looking Philco and maybe it leans towards the higher end models. I really do not know, but it looks deluxe. Like you, my brain does not comprehend that price. I hope someone out there ends up with it and it does not end up in a landfill.
