RCA SHF-9 Table Model

I paid a total of $29 for this RCA gal, including shipping.

Once again, I bought it for parts, due to its condition.
But, if I can figure out how to re-do the speaker baffle
cloth, the cabinet is in acceptable shape.

I've had an SHF-8 (same amp), and they do sound
very good.

And I like the RP-205 changer, which seem to play
well with EV Powerpoint type plug-in carts.
There is a powerpoint cart in there currently.

You might look on AES's website "tubesandmore.com" to see if they have grille cloth that would be close enough. They have a pretty good selection. Grille cloth is not hard to do. Good luck.

Looks like the cloth edges are held by plastic splines in grooves. If the splines don't come out intact you can probably find some small-diameter plastic tubing that would serve.

You got a bargain, Mr. Mogul. I came across that exact model about a year ago in an antique store and they wanted $150.00 for it and the cabinet was in worse shape than yours. I thought to myself, twenty bucks' tops, so I kept walking. I wonder if it's still there. ;) :)

Tubes and more also carries the spline in multiple colors mainly for guitar amps

Thanks everyone for the input, especially about
the plastic retainer splines around the grill cloth.

Oh, on AES, they call it piping.

Piping I have heard of.

Also, I ran across this gentleman's website, for
vintage radio grill cloth.
He has various sizes, so you don't
have to buy a whole yard length.
And Free Shipping.

Mr. Mogul, may I suggest that you add the grille cloth supplier to the Parts and Suppliers board. They have a lot of good stuff... :D
