Done. Finally.....

Thew wife decided my den looked shabby. I can't say I totally disagree with that assessment. So, good old dumb me, I volunteered to help spruce it up a tad. The room is not very big. How hard could it be? I had already repainted it and we put up new shutters. She thought my computer desk had seen better days. We got it at Big Lots for something like $39, in 2012. Okay fine. We went to a furniture store and bought a desk with a return. I wanted room for not only this computer, but for my old computer with all my radio docs and music conversion software on it. It took me two days to put the desk together. I worked all day today putting the electronics back together. I have two computers, two monitors, and the Wifi and phone both work, so the hard part is done. My old computer won't let me adjust the volume. This has happened before when it was shut down for a time. I forget the cure, but it's not that hard. Also I have double files on Windows Media Player, so I have all my music files twice. That happened one time when it was shut down for the winter, instructions for the cure are online. I'm using a 32" RCA flat panel TV for the monitor for this computer. OMG! What a difference! I have something set wrong because the TV won't go to sleep like a monitor would. They told me at the store there might be a setting I'd need to change, but I forgot what they said. I can still use this monitor for a TV by changing the input settings. This is a pretty slick setup, don't know why I haven't done it sooner. I don't have any stereo equipment installed in my desk setup yet, a job for another day. My mind is fried doing all the thinking I've had to do today. I'm not used to that. I have two cabinets with cassette tape in them. The CD's and open reel tape will live in the shop. I'm happy with progress thus far and the frau is satisfied that the den looks better. Mission accomplished......
