Very nice, is that Ambassador working well? If it's the receiver R-31 chassis I do have a parts chassis and speakers if you need them. That A69 was the most power fisher I had, compared to the Electra's and Warwicks, but it seemed to have issues.

It has my old record changer! But who made that tape deck? Maybe Norelco?

Thanks guys! The small speakers came with it. They are the Fisher WS-1 wide surround remote speakers. The unit plays nicely through the aux input jacks. The dial string is broken and the unit hums when switched to phono. The tape deck is a rebranded Luxor M70. It isn't working either. The seller had his phone plugged in and it sounded great.

Gorgeous grab! And all the add ons, too... the WS-1s, microphones and literature...

Not positive on the r2r maker. I did know but have to look it up. It looks like a Tandberg but it's not...

Ok... I didn't fully read the previous thread. Luxor is correct. I knew it was some different brand you don't hear much about.

Fisher liked to put that gold script on things they didn't make.

I have never heard of Luxor, was that a US company and were they any good?

Well, I ended up removing all of the electronics and the turntable and speakers from the first Ambassador VII that I had. The cabinet was trashed. Will keep the guts as spares for the newer Ambassador VII that I acquired with the modern cabinet. I have replaced the Dual 1009 with a Dual 1019 that I had sitting around. My Zenith YT960 electronics are out getting refurbished. After I get them back, I'll probably give him the Fisher tuner and amplifier to do.

It sounds like you have been busy, Charles, and good things are taking place. I sure wish I had your Zenith cabinet. I have the Early American version in storage and Zenith definitely did not chose an attractive Early American style cabinet as it is but ugly and way over done.

Yes, the YT960 cabinet is beautiful indeed! I'm going to go over it with some Howard's Restore-A-Finish and Howard's Feed N Wax before I get the electronics back. I'll be sure to post some pictures when it's back together!
