The only good thing I can say about '58 Buicks is that they were fairly immune to rust, certainly compared to the '57's. They were pretty severe rusters. Maybe not as bad as Chrysler, but pretty bad in GM terms. The '54's were rusters, too, particularly the two door models. The bumper ends on a '57 wouldn't last a year if you got slop thrown up in them. They are nearly impossible to find nowadays in good shape. The '56's would rust out under the headlamps.
