Casey Kasem top 40

Post: # 9164Post hermitcrab »

I got a couple of these from a co-worker that worked as a DJ at a local college ...these are technically used because they were played once... this one is from 31st week of 1991 they have been in storage since they were originally played on the show date ... 5 records per show ...you have to cue them up after every 15 mins of the show for insertion of local commercials or station jungle... My wife freaked out because she grew up listening to these shows every week . I hated to play it ... but I just had to...sounds just like listening to the radio in the past :D

I'm not sure I'd ever know any songs from 1991, maybe Nirvana would be a about all. My music wheelhouse ends about 1975.

yea I am in the same boat , but the late 80's to mid 90's is all he had... he hooked me up with his buddy who was also a DJ somewhere in OH . and he has Rick dee's , Shadoe Stevens , Dick Bartley series and king biscuit flower hour.... he is suppose to send me a list of what he has...

I got them a couple weeks ago... been bird dogging my co-worker for a few months when he told me he had a few to sell ... they were packed away and stored in his basement , he had surgery and couldn't do any lifting till just recently...he really didn't want to sell any of them , but he realized that he would never play them again as he has zero stereo equipment anymore...so we made a deal...
