The shop is finally done!

:D :D

They are, as I type this, finishing up a couple details then they are outa here! Over a year it took to build a 400 square foot workshop in our back yard. They had trouble with the paint. They had trouble with day laborers messing stuff up that had to be done over. They put the electrical outlets in the wrong spot. They put the pegboard on the walls wrong and that all had to be done over. They cut thru the irrigation line to the lawn sprinklers. This filled the ditch for the electrical conduit with dirt and that had to be all done over. The first painter not only used the wrong colors, he did not put on enough paint. The second painter made it look fantastic. There is almost 15 gallons of paint on a 400 square foot workshop. I painted the inside, that "was not on the contract". The LED lights make/made noise in radios. The upside is that the building is well-insulated and provides a clean signal for radio as long as you don't run LED lights. I don't know yet about how antenna TV will work. I'm glad to have the project done and over with. I would not do it again in a million years. The customer has little control over the process. The Registrar of Contractors protects the contractors, not the citizens. NEVER will I hire a job this large done for me again. If I can't do it myself, I'll do without. I restored cars too long. "Industry standard" work is not acceptable to me. Nothing is square unless I am on it constantly. This building is not bad in that regard.

Finally, it is done! Congratulations, Greg. Now all you have is years of enjoyment in your new shop, and I hope it gives you years of just that. :D :D

I've been working on radios so far. You can see those in "Radios and Tuners" on the forum. And I got a couple of my big stereos going, posted in "Magnavox". Have you got your plumbing project done?

Greg, now that you have a "studio", have you considered making some YouTube content of your own? They are always closed captioned.

I figure that I have this forum for content. My voice would not be appropriate for a YouTube video. I appreciate the suggestion. :D
