He doesn't show the model number. It has the 93 series amp, MPX adapter and an Imperial Micromatic changer. I'm guessing a 1962-'63 model, made up of the old Symphony cabinet with mixed and matched components. It has the series 100 tuner. I think this is very similar to the one Bill has. It is not an Imperial, big or little. I believe one would call it a Symphony. Whatever you want to call it, it has the 93 series amp and Shango wants it gone. Somebody on here who lives in CA might score something nice and save it. Shango's videos on TV are much more interesting than when he works on a stereo. Console stereos are not his thing. He is a genius when it comes to a TV.

But that's why we edit videos, to condense the process so we don't have to suffer through all the pondering and ruminating. I don't need to hear him muttering about "Geez, this is dirty." We can see that.

I enjoy Shango's TV repair videos immensely. He is not as sharp on console stereos. I agree with Chris. Shango does a lot of blabbing on this video. Shango works on stuff that is incredibly nasty. He wears gloves because he does not want germs or to come in contact with "chemicals". Yet he'll work on a "mouse house" without removing the mouse. He is an absolute genius when it comes to fixing stuff. Bandersen is lots neater, but he does restoration quality work. Shango usually does just enough to get it running. You can tell he'd rather work on a TV than he would a stereo or a radio.

I will have to watch this new one for sure, been pretty busy. I can usually predict how the repairs will go.

Shang0 will pick up anything, often stuff that "isn't worth a tinker's "deleted"", then zero in FAST** on the issue. Granted, his signal generators and other test equipment is beyond reach of most of us, just like the wall of equipment in Mr Carlson's lab.

**From my experience in the 70s-80s, this quality was a must-have for anyone to be a successful electronic tech, next to dealing with consumers and their equipment.

OK - I was appalled at the condition of that Magnavox but mildly impressed to a very obvious possibility of restoration. The fact that changer worked as found is remarkable .

Yes, I put lots of work into my Normandy Symphony and it was near new condition with four weak 6BQ5's - RCA replacements, not the Siemens-made originals. The tuner's 6EU7 socket was that lousy tan wafer POS. It was bricked as soon as I wrenched one of the many resistors I had to change on its terminals.

Wafer tube sockets are the bane of Magnavox restorers, right up there with crappy coupling caps, drifted 220K resistors and 6EU7 tubes. Sloppy wiring is an issue, but it seldom causes trouble. The 4uf electrolytic caps in the MPX adapters are frequently found wonky as are the 6EU7 tubes in MPX models so equipped. And it's wafer socket......
