A suggestion I would offer is to take the surviving medallion to a place that does trophies for car shows. Have them make a pair out of plastic. Those would be better than nothing until you can find another original. That might take a spell, as I can imagine you already know.
Life can be tough. It can be even tougher if you're stupid.....
