It was a follow-up to the RC-80. They're all over, or used to be. After that came the Type A.

Thanks for that Chris! yes, I'd love that one, a relatively un-embellished EA design in maple, my favorite.
It has the excellent S-C tube amp and tuner, v nice components also sold as such, the amp is a PP 6BQ5.
As mentioned in the Grommes thread, I also researched & wrote an article on S-C that never got published.
Tom Bavis at ARF who lives in Rochester gave me some leads to original employees who were a great source.
This was around mid-2008.

The "pusher platform" in the upper L corner is always a clue to Garrard parentage!

Stromberg-Carlson did not build junk. I only have a couple SC products, a table radio and my old 1121 console. The chassis in the 1121 is massively overbuilt, quite the feat of engineering. Built like a Mack truck. The chassis spent thirty years in a fell-down chicken house. The cabinet was so eaten up with termites, it fell apart when I moved it. The chassis had been a mouse house. The damage it had would have killed most any other brand of radio chassis. It built out nicely and is a potent performer, especially if you use a 24' extension ladder for an antenna.
