The store has this RCA 19k in good condition and they claim it "works well" but is it working well enough for that $650 price?

Nope. At the very least, it's missing the knobs. That can be anything from an inconvenience to a disaster. The decimal point is in the wrong spot.......

The dial shows broadcast-band and two SW bands, the higher up to 18 mHz.

How about a photo of the innards? Tuning cap gangs, output tubes (P-P?) and speaker size can give clues to quality.

According to ads it has a 12 inch speaker. There was also a cool looking JC Penney radio there that had these swing out speakers there for $50, it has an input for phono.

I'm hoping the thing sits and sits so whoever is selling it gets a clue and lowers the price to about half they want for it. There was better stuff from the same time period I'm more interested in especially the Philcos with the Beam Of Light turntable and the ability to record your own records. This one doesn't even have a turntable! it's a cool radio but I just can't justify paying $650 for it. I'd pay maybe $650 for a Magnavox Windsor or Capehart model but not this.
