Empty would be just fine. I have plenty of caps and that way I don't exhaust your supply.
Thanks Greg,

Will a half dozen keep you busy for awhile? I can get more, so I'd just as well send what you can use. Let me know. You will be the first user of Katie Caps. I hope they work out well for you.

That would be great! I have lots of projects waiting in the wings that Katie Caps would work well with. All I need to do is dig them out and start on them. I wish life would stop getting in the way, I just understand why that has to happen.

Re: VM 557
Looks good so far, I never saw an amp like that before. I will post my VM 853 story later.
The multi-section cap in the 853's amp tested OK up to 300 v but since its for a customer and the half-circle section 60 uf did not charge to the full voltage of 450, it will get replaced!
No paper caps found and resistors were within tolerance, and I made an angled adapter on my DeOxit nozzle to reach the openings of those darned pc-mount pots with the opening facing toward the PC board.

Re: VM 557
back when I was driving LTL , I had a daily stop at a paper company to pick up cardboard tubes in bundles ... watching them made was a interesting process and it took a lot of real estate to make one tube about 60 -70 feet long and ended with a machine that cut them off at a desired length at the end... they could make any size, diameter, thickness, they could get heavy depending on the thickness ... one thing about being a trucker , you got to see a lot of behind the scenes stuff...

Now that Katie knows she is famous, it's gone to her head. She supplied me with six more Katie caps form, so we have a good supply.
