I'm not that familiar with Electrohome stuff. I wouldn't give ten grand for it. My uncle bought an Electrohome TV when he was in the military. None of the TV repair places back home would work on it, because it was "foreign". I don't know what became of it.

It is Canadian, just like Clairtone. We sold some Electrohome stereo's when I worked at the Gamble Store back when I was a kid. Those Electrohome's were pretty junky. All plastic, cheap guts, small cheap speakers, and cheap changers. They usually had 8 tracks so that gives you an idea when they were built. Electrohome must have produced products at all levels with the one shared in this post being their top of the line. It would be interesting to hear this unit, just to see how good it really sounds. The unit to the left of the Electrohome is a Voice of Music 1000 which was their TOTL unit back in the day.

And what is that rounded-edge console to the right of the E'home?

I would guess a vintage German unit of some kind.

I mentioned Clairtone as another one of Canada's stereo companies. Somewhere, and I do not remember where, I read that Clairtone was Canada's TOTL stereo builder. Here is what their equivalent to Electrohome's TOTL unit that Elton shared in this post. And yes, they are really proud of it.
