Custom console w/Fisher 400 receiver Hackensack, NJ $75 OBO

Post: # 22779Post macgolf »

Listed as "Estate Sale" Doesn't look like a Fisher console that I've seen. I think Fisher had the 400 available in their Gotham IV which was a consolette. Did they leave off a zero? Anyone here close to this?

"Stereo cabinet 80”Lx31”Hx20”W
Comes with pullout turntable and built in am/fm radio and speakers. Turntable needs repair. Enough storage for records and other media items
Cash and Carry only. No delivery available
Best offer accepted"

$75 may be all that rig is worth. What's up with the different grille cloth? Are there doors that cover the speakers and maybe something that goes over that big hole in the humonguos 80" long cabinet? I'd agree with you, Mark. The cabinet looks strange to me.

Doors pull over the middle. Scroll through the photos. It's worth way more than $75. Wish we could see the receiver and speakers.

It is definitely long, but it is a nice-looking cabinet and well worth the money and I am guessing it is priced to get it gone.

Definitely worth the asking price. Someone spent a good buck on the components and cabinet. Speakers are probably decent and what cartridge might that garrard be carrying?

All that space, I'm surprised it doesn't sport a r2r.

Yes, for $75, that's a nice piece and appears well-made.

The Garrard changer sells for that price alone.

AND, there's the OBO, also !

My 1st tube unit was a garage sale 7189 powered Fisher integrated. Still have it 10 years later. I have a soft spot for tube powered Fisher equipment. The Fisher 400/500/800 receivers remain popular even though, for my skill level, they are pretty busy underneath.

Looks like it was priced to move and is now marked sold. If it were local I would have grabbed it. I'm also curious about the speaker load and cabinet manufacturer. Someone got a deal for their troubles with moving and transporting a nearly 7' long console.

I bet they originally had a big TV set sitting in the middle.
