The Voice Of Music Console - Louisville, Ky. - $50
Here's a very nice looking console for a nice price. It's near me but I really don't have enough space for it. If it were a Concert Grand for $50, I'd have to find the space.

That's a nice little console.
I like the very stylized V-M logo'd platter mat.
The amp appears to be well laid out, with SE 6BQ5
outputs, and a dual triode 6EU7, which I've not seen before.
It has a 10 inch woofer and a tweeter per channel.
Even with no room at my inn, I'd buy it to restore for
a worthy home.

You could buy 60 of those V-M units for the one $3K Maggie....

That is nice looking walnut! The price is right as well!
The phono-only models are kind of special to me because that was the only stereo sound available
(excepting R2R) before FM mpx was common by 1963.
The electronics were designed to get the most out of a ceramic stereo cartridge.

It would take an expert stacker to own 60 V-M units. For some reason I think there may be a few of them here on this site that could handle that many. It really would make a lot more sense to buy the V-M over the 3K Maggie.

I read about how many consoles some of you guys have and I know that unless some of you have huge houses or lots of storage space, some of the consoles have to be stacked.
I have a few consoles but only two of them are stacked. The rest are spread out. I have a semi-understanding wife but sometimes she does ask why I have so many. I have to remind her that it is all her fault. We got the first console because she wanted one. When she first got it, she played a record on it when my very young granddaughter was there. My granddaughter looked at her and said, "That sure is a really big CD."
I do need to fix some of them and pass them on.

I don't have consoles stacked, but I don't own a console that doesn't have something stacked on it. My wife likes them to put her Christmas decorations on. For several years, the CG was a flat panel TV stand.

My wife also puts up with my obsession ... I currently have 14 consoles, one in every room except bathrooms and the kitchen... the rest in the basement , if I see one on the curb , or for free, or one I think is a good deal ... I just can't help myself ... not just consoles , portables , wall mounts , etc ... I am past collecting radios ....

I feel your pain, Elton, I have a terrible time saying no. I would feel much better if I could find buyers for some of them, someone who would appreciate listening to vinyl and good sound but around here they are hard to find and if I do find someone, they either want it for free and really cheap.
