I kind of agree with Walter. I have seen the same Magnavox style without the curio cabinet, and it looked much better.

That hidden at any cost electronics in junky furniture didn't work out well for Magnavox. They were moving over to defense work during that period and were going to rely on it. That didn't seem to work out well either.
