This V-M 812 sure looks to be competing with the Motorola
Drexel style modern cabinet.

Thanks, Elton, and guys for the support. The price is a tad high for me, especially when it needs a total restoration including the cabinet. The most I have ever paid for anything was $115.00 and that was for my Maganvox Berkshire. Everything else was 100 bucks or way less all the way down to free. Actually, what I really want is the amp/preamp out of it. I have a VM, different cabinet, that is missing that amp/preamp. Speaker and changer are still in it, and the cabinet is in nice shape. I guess I can keep my eye on it, maybe the price will come down.

Mr. Mogul, that was my exact thought, it looks a lot like my Motorola SK52.

Heck, I would just throw them an offer... you could say that the top is going to be a lot of work to refinish or it needs total restore no radio,that radio dial is pretty rad... I think I would go 80 bucks, they have all the original paperwork which is also cool I love ephemera ...
