Re: Is this a mini Imperial?
It is actually a Symphony, model 1ST657 according to the 1961 Magnavox catalog. What a steal.....
The difference between a Symphony and a little Imperial is the small speakers. The Symphony has eight speakers, the Imperial has four, two of which are horns. Both have the 93-series amp. This one has AFC, so it is a later '61 or later. Well worth the asking price. I hope it gets a good home.

I haven't failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work.....Thomas Alva Edison

Re: Is this a mini Imperial?
I have that cabinet Symphony, but that is where it kind of ends as mine is an odd duck. The one shown in the ad is a six knobber which I think makes it a 200 series tuner and like Greg said, it should have 8 speakers. Mine is a five knobber, 100 series tuner and I only have 4 speakers. 12" woofers and a pair of horns. Mine does have the 9300 series amp and I do have the multiplex chassis which allows me to pull FM stereo.
Elton, are you going to add it to your collection???

Re: Is this a mini Imperial?
I have two 1962.5s (1ST622-1ST659) equipped with the 100 series tuner, mpx adapter and 12" woofs with horns, AKA mini Imperial. I consider this a fully equipped console, with a stereo tape input. A great value compared to later Astrosonic consoles sold as the Imperial, where only the speakers were improved with boxes and extra pair of horns.William wrote: ↑Thu Jan 04, 2024 2:04 pm I have that cabinet Symphony, but that is where it kind of ends as mine is an odd duck. So if it has a 6 knob tuner and 15" woofs with horns like my 3ST661 (Imperial Empire), then it's a regular Imperial.
