Just sayin'.....

Post: # 18012Post electra225 »

Activity, posting is what keeps a forum alive. When posting decreases like it has here lately on the forum, the bots don't see new content. We lower our position on search engines, traffic decreases, we don't attract new members. I know everybody is busy. But if each of us shares a project or a thought with the forum, then it benefits us all. If you guys want the forum to continue, we all need to give some of our time each day to the forum. Five minutes, ten minutes, to log on and respond to a topic or start one of your own. It won't be long until it will be time to renew the forum hosting. You guys are the forum. All I can do is to provide a platform for a forum. It is up to you whether it lives or dies. I reckon it boils down to whether you think the forum is worth saving or not. Just sayin'.......

Some of us can hardly keep our mouths shut (or our fingers off the keyboard). But lately I've been busy with the fall chores involving houses, boats, and vehicles, and then pow!! I got Covid. It's stay-at-home week for me. My biggest symptom is lack of ambition. I'm sitting here trying to work up the resolve to go out and put the snow tires on the truck. Yesterday I did haul them out and fill them with air but then ran out of energy. So far, no interesting projects to report on.

Finishing up outside work here, too. One or 2 more 60 degree days to button up and finish a couple things on the 62...

I do plan to get back to work on the Executive this winter, especially the r2r so there may be plenty of new material soon...

I'm in the same boat. Between fall clean up on 6 houses, and all the fall doctor's appointments, I have had no time for projects. I did the final fall lawn service for my 91-year-old aunt today so that one is done. Next is my 86-year-old neighbor's yard, then my handicapped neighbor's yard and so on until they are all done. I still have one tree that is not done dropping its leaves yet but it's getting there. Eventually I will get it all done and then it will be basement/project time.

I guess we all have things that need to get done at this time of year. I do try to post each time I get the chance as I know it does benefit the site. Greg has done a lot to bring this site about, and we should remember him and our site whenever we get the chance.
