Re: Stromberg Carlson - 50 bucks
Somebody should save that. Stromberg-Carlson did not build junk. Their stuff was top drawer all the way. The price is a give-away...
A good leader is someone who can tell you where to go, and make you look forward to the trip.
Never allow someone who has done nothing to advise you on anything.

And it's good looking too. Glaser-Steers changer? Wish they had sent a pic of the innards.

Re: Stromberg Carlson - 50 bucks
This looks like a tube model, with no indication of "solid state". Very rare and at least as good as our favorites. The GS record changer alone makes this a worthwhile console.
Stromberg Carlson made some really good audio equipment but after General Dynamics bought SC in 1955, telephone switching equipment was bread and butter. Wiki has good page on this company and where it's gone since 1982 when G-D split up divs. and sold it.

Re: Stromberg Carlson - 50 bucks
it didn't last long... the listing is gone.
Re: Stromberg Carlson - 50 bucks
I'm guessing the price was a big part of that, and the fact it's a Stromberg-Carlson.
